Thank you to Outgoing Board – Karen O’Neil & Joel Hiller

After a decade of serving on the Board of Directors, Karen and Joel are changing their involvement with Prescott Creeks. We have been fortunate to have their leadership, insight, and guidance through the growth and change these past ten years have brought the organization and our region.

Karen has served as our most recent Board Chairs and has actively been involved in both the direction of the organization and the avian monitoring of Watson Woods. In addition to serving on Prescott Creeks Board of Directors, Karen O’Neil coordinates bird surveys for the Watson Woods Restoration Plan as well as Important Bird Area (IBA) surveys through the Audubon Society. Karen’s favorite local creek is Granite because she’s interacted with it the most and has gained an awareness of its ecological richness.

Joel Hiller served as Board Chair from June 2006 through July 2008. Joel’s background is in planning and development and he’s contributed his skills to numerous organizations and committees including Prescott College and Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Joel recommends Prescott’s Granite Creek Greenways Trail to locals and visitors alike as a scenic, tree-lined trail experience in the downtown business area.
