The workshop will be led by WMG Program Manager and landscape architect James DeRoussel. Participants will receive hands-on education and experience in the design and implementation of passive water harvesting systems, green infrastructure and low-impact development. In the morning, participants will receive a classroom primer on green infrastructure and it’s principles and practices. In the afternoon, we will head outdoors and get hands-on with rock work and planting.
Participants should come prepared to work outdoors. Please bring a re-usable water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and appropriate clothing and footwear. Please bring work gloves if you have them. Close-toed shoes are required. All tools will be provided.
We will break for participants to find lunch, feel free to bring a bagged lunch.
