From dry sun-baked creek beds, to monsoon flash floods, summer is a time of extremes in the arid Southwest. With summer monsoon rains, our volunteer work will take shape with the weather and flow conditions in our restored riparian areas. Rains bring a second green-up season here in the arid Southwest; and with it a need to keep aggressive invasive vegetation in check, giving our planted willow and cottonwood a better chance to grow and spread…contributing to an increasingly healthy and functional habitat array in our restored project areas.
All are welcome and encouraged to participate in our public volunteer CREW activities. Watch this website and our Facebook page for further details on the July 20 volunteer event and other upcoming activities.
Meet at the Watson Woods Rosser Street Trailhead parking area, adjacent to Prescott Creeks’ office.
