AZ Native Plant Society Meeting: Protecting Native Plants in Your National Forests

October 12- 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

On Thursday, October 12th, the Arizona Native Plant Society, Prescott Chapter, is hosting a talk on Protecting Native Plants in Your National Forests.

Joe Trudeau, a Yavapai County resident and environmental advocate, will review the status of forest-level planning and project-specific p

roposals and actions that impact native plants, their habitats, and ecosystem processes that sustain functional plant communities. Many of these actions are centered on the consensus that immediate action is needed to restore integrity to our fire-adapted ecosystems, including grasslands, chaparral, woodlands, and forests.
