A Gift of Giving: The Office Perspective

As the new Office Manager, I feel thrilled to be able to be part of an organization that directly gives back to the community and the environment in which we live.  I’m sure all of us have experienced the gift of Prescott and want to share it with future generations.  One way to ensure Prescott continues to thrive is for us to represent a culture of giving.

Giving, according to Merriam Webster, is defined as:

1.    to freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to

2.    to bestow (love, affection, or other emotional support)

Many times through the week, you may be asked to give of your time, treasure or talent to someone or an organization.   It is good to evaluate what personally motivates your giving.  Is it a worthy cause you have passion for?  Does it come easily for you to give?  What do you like to give?

I ask myself those questions and many times I do not necessarily know the answer.  But I do know, my gift of giving in kindness is communicable with great rewards.

Prescott Creeks would not be successful without your support!  Your gift of working in the field, sharing your insight and sending donations creates real and influential change.  I look forward to working with you on our projects and future campaigns for Prescott Creeks.

Giving opens the way for receiving. –Florence Scovel Shinn
