A Celebration of our Creeks on Arizona Gives Day

Submitted by March 25, 2014 3:34 pm

Help Prescott Creeks receive a $10,000 matching grant. Every dollar you donate for Arizona Gives Day will make double the difference. During Arizona Gives Day, Prescott Creeks would like to give to our community, as well as asking you to support your local non-profits. We will be hosting a day full of activities. All activities meet at the Prescott Creeks office at 1801 N. Hwy 89, the North East corner of Hwy 89 and Rosser.

Join us for one of these fun activities, or at the AZ Gives Day webiste.

8 am:     Bird walk in Watson Woods with Karen O’Neal of Prescott Audubon Society (and  board President for Prescott Creeks)

12 noon:    Cupcakes at the Creeks cabin. Come see the new place, meet the staff, and hear what projects are in the works. A representative from the Prescott Chapter of the Arizona Native Plant Society will also be on-hand to chat about native plants

1:30 pm:      YEI service project at the Creeks.

2 pm:     Hunting for Art materials in Watson Woods Riparian Preserve with Paula Cooperrider of One Man’s Treasure

3 pm:     Upcycling from trash into Art with Jean Lutz

5 pm:     Happy Hour at the Creeks cabin. Stop by for a glass of wine, snacks, and to hear some of the exciting things Prescott Creeks is up to with Sharon Arnold.

Update… Your Donations Made the Difference!

On AZ Give Day, April 9th, we raised almost $10,000! We couldn’t have done it without the support of over 50 donors who made contributions either at the AZ Gives Day online site or directly to Prescott Creeks. While all the events for the day were well-attended, the Native Plant walk with Patrick Alexander seems to have been the hit for the day. Thank you to all of our partners (see links below) and all of those who participated. And a special thanks goes our to our annonymous donor who matched the contributions that day.
