Doug

Welcome to Our New Board Chair – Doug Bunch

Starting in July, Doug Bunch will be taking on the role of Chair of the Prescott Creeks Board of Directors. He has served the past two years on the Board and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion. We are lucky to have him leading us through this next phase.

Doug taught Sciences (primarily Biology) at Prescott High School from 1976 – 2001 as well as adult education classes for Prescott College, Yavapai College, Northern Arizona University, and Arizona State University for over 25 years. He enjoys hiking along our Creeks and feels a responsibility to assist in taking care of them for generations to come. He has taken students on fieldtrips (primarily Oak Creek Canyon area) for over twenty years and enjoys studying and teaching the riparian habitats.

Doug’s education includes a B.S. in Biology, a M.A. in HPER-Sports Medicine Emphasis, and numerous post degree classes. He enjoys all our local creeks and is really excited about the Watson Woods area.

Doug moved to Prescott in 1973 and only realized in the last 10 years, or so, how many beautiful creeks we have in our area!  He would like to help educate our local students, residents, and visitors about these opportunities and include caring for as well as improving these local habitats.
